CSI 2025 Timeline

Meeting reports must be uploaded to AMETHIS by CSI coordinators before:

• 1st and 2nd year: until June 15, 2025.
• 3rd year and above: until September 30, 2025.

CSI Composition

The individual monitoring committee (CSI) must include:
- at least 2 members not involved in the PhD project, including at least one qualified to supervise research (HDR);
- at least one member specialized in or related to the thesis field;
- at least one member external to the doctoral school and the enrolling institution;
- at least one member who is a non-specialist, external to the thesis topic through their research activity.

CSI Procedure

1. Presentation of research progress and discussion with the CSI, thesis supervisor(s), and the PhD candidate.
2. Interview with the PhD candidate without the thesis supervisor(s) (a time for discussion with the candidate without the presence of the thesis supervisor(s) must be systematically scheduled).
3. Interview with the thesis supervisor(s) without the PhD candidate (a time for discussion between the CSI and the supervisor(s)).

Before the Meeting

1. The PhD candidate organizes and schedules a joint meeting with CSI members, the thesis supervisor(s), and themselves. This meeting may take place in person and/or via videoconference.
2. The PhD candidate writes a report on the progress of their work using the document "PhD Progress Report" and sends it to the CSI members. It should include the individual training plan, a summary of accomplishments, and research progress.

CSI Management on AMETHIS

1. Entry and submission of the committee composition by the PhD candidate, checked and validated by the thesis supervisor and the Doctoral School (Site Manager).
2. Upload of the progress report by the PhD candidate via their AMETHIS account.
3. Upload of the meeting report by the CSI coordinator (previously designated within the committee).
